We enjoyed our stay by the lake. The house had what we needed, and it was a great place for a few friends to spend the 4th of July. The lake is beautiful, and the house sits right on the water. The folks at Real Estate 2000 were very responsive to our needs, and replied immediately when a repair issue came up. The only thing we would change is the pull out sofa. A little too uncomfortable to sleep on.

The house was great! Beautiful spot in the lake. The stairs to the water were a little tough for my mother. Everything else was great!!! Will definitely come back here again!

We had a wonderful 4th of July getaway at Village by the Sea in Wells, Maine. The condo was clean, comfortable, and in a fantastic location—just minutes from the beaches, shops, and restaurants. The host was incredibly responsive and friendly, making everything easy from start to finish. Perfect spot for a relaxing family vacation!

5Stars! A Perfect Getaway for My Husband's Birthday We spent a week at The Tarpy's Lake House in Shapleigh Maine to celebrate my husband's birthday, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. From the peaceful mornings on the water to the cozy evenings by the fire, everything about this place made it a truly memorable getaway. The house was clean, well-stocked, and had everything we needed to feel right at home. The lake was beautiful—perfect for swimming, kayaking, or just relaxing with a book. We especially loved watching the sunset from the dock. It was the ideal setting for quality time, and we left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and already planning our next visit. This place was absolutely perfect for our family get together, walk out the door and write on your own private beach and dock on the pond. The lake was super clean and the layout of the house was tremendous for our gathering. My children all had a blast and everybody had their own space. We definitely will be back. The host was amazing anytime we had a question. She was quick to respond. It felt like our home while we were there.

Such a wonderful welcoming host, they made us feel at home right from the moment we knocked on the door! The room looks much more beautiful than it seems in the pictures, especially the artwork. Super clean and hygienic washroom we felt like coming back home after a tired exploration of Limerick in the day. A very friendly neighborhood, nice places to eat out and the local bar with happy people, that’s all you could wish for to be at home in Limerick. The host provided us a travel suggestion list that we could hardly cover because it was exhaustive, we have to travel back there again. All I would like to say is, we had an awesome stay at a very friendly home and loved Limerick in all its glory. Thanks to the family for making it such an amazing first Airbnb experience for us. We really enjoyed our stay. The neighbors were friendly, the lake was beautiful and the home was well stocked to meet our needs. A bonus were a few air conditioning units in the windows. Everyone loved staying a week on the lake with plenty to do.

Loved our stay! Peaceful setting and cottage was updated. Cozy and quaint setting. Fresh update- felt like home with all the amenities- also loved the decor and views. Communication was perfect with this rental. Highly recommend if it’s available book it- you’ll love it. Felt like a quick refresh just what we needed. Also enjoyed fishing on the pond. Cast our lines a few times a day for the few days we were here it was fun and we saw a family of ducks and a few gray herons and turtles too. Fireworks display on the water was just AWESOME from our canoe. Great show and didn’t have to drive back home just a quick paddle back in. Overall awesome get away.
